How long do you keep the babies for? Hello, we have our first batch of eggs in an incubator and I was just wondering when these hatch how long do I keep them before I can sell them. Like what is the normal age to get rid of them. And is there anyone here who knows how you ship them, like in what kind of a contaner. Like obviously I know not in the mail, but I mean with and air line do I need to get a cat kennel thing or is it different with lizzards. cheers Bre

How long do you keep the babies for? The general standard is at least 6 weeks old and at least 6 inches long before you sell. Shipping is done through UPS mainly (Fedex will work but never use USPS, they suck). You may need to get a reptile shipping account depending on how picky your local office is. You’ll need styrofoam lined boxes, deli cups, packing material (peanuts or newspaper), hot/cool packs (the good ones made for reptiles NOT hand warmers), and about $35-$60 per box depending on where it’s going. Do not poke holes in the box and styrofoam or it will compromise it’s insulation, cardboard breaths just fine. You will need to put several small holes in the delicups though. Sean
