1 down, 22 to go... Well, I just would like to announce that ONE of my eggs is finally hatching . He/she is almost finished coming out. I got another container set up for it. All the other eggs look like they are really gonna pop lol. Its funny the one I wouldn’t think to hatch first is hatching first. It was one of the smallest eggs in the clutch. Well I’d like to thank everyone for helping me out in the past, and I hope my babies do good from now. Heres a pic, I quickly took!!!

I finally feel a sense of accomplishment.... lol

1 down, 22 to go... Thanks alot sean. Yea last night I looked at the eggs, and nothing appeared to be different. There was no sweating at all. The little guy/girl is still stting there, a little farther out. I can see him through my window., and now there is a lot of sweat on the egg. I think that the others are gonna start this evening, at least I hope lol. They should be here over a few days right, and should I offer some greens the first day after they come out of the container with the moist towel?

1 down, 22 to go... It can take up to a week for them to eat. They are full because they absorb the yolk and live off of it. You can start offering food right away but I usually wait a day or two.

1 down, 22 to go... Thanks alot. Anyways, I got him/her in the container and I checked on heshe. It looked a me and hissed and had it’s mouth open trying to bite me lol. The egg yolk is fully absorbed, and heshe is pretty active, but Im still gonna leave it in the incubator for a couple more hours.

1 down, 22 to go... No. The female is a snow and the male is a sandfire gold x red. The babies won’t be SPECTACULAR lol, but they will show some nice colors. My first baby is starting to show the pinkish coloring throughout his body. Anyways I thought I’d share the another one has hatched this morning. I don’t get it why they are hatching at different rates, like one a day. Also, I wan’t to mark the babies for identification. What is the best way to do this? Would a sharpie be good to use?

1 down, 22 to go... Thanks alot man! Yea as Im typing right now two have their heads out, and 5 are sweating up a storm! They are all wobbiling around lol. What is the real reason that the eggs sweat, and also, my second baby is still in the incubator on a moist paper towel, because he has his yolk still on him. Will this be shed off or absorbed, and how long can this take?

About your egg’s? I use the method of marking the egg’s in-case there moved by there siblings after hatching. Have you ever had a problem with any not hatching because there egg was moved? Just wondering because I noticed when I would put more than 20 egg’s together, some would hatch before I could get to them and move egg’s around. Then I would moved them back, now with you using no markings can that hurt you if there moved. I always did it that way, not saying your doing anything wrong. But for my personal knowledge, can they drown in there yolk if moved. Or are they developed enough to survive the next couple of days??? Thank You Here’s my first one, there so tiny!!!

About your egg’s? thanks. so far 7 have fully hatched, and there is one coming now. And ohio pimp, i was wondering about the same thing, cause one got rolled. I believe thought that they are so developed that they can simply just roll around inside the egg to feel comfortable. At least i saw this along time ago when I candled the eggs. the babys were doing flips in the eggs lol.

About your egg’s? Again, congrats man. One note though, be real careful letting moma get that close to babies. There have been accidents in the past (it only takes a fraction of a second). She won’t see them as her babies, she’ll see them as a light snack, even if it does make for a cute picture.Sean

About your egg’s? Of course, I know the scary possibilities. I had the female under control in a different containor just for the pic. and I put the baby there very quiclky, just for that quick picture. Anyways my last hatchling doesnt look like he/she is doing well. Where the egg yolk is still attached, instead of it being right connected to the baby’s stomach, it is connected to a large yellow sac. it’s stomach area looks skinnier than the others do. He is alive now, and is resting, but is this going to be a serious issue. of course I know that not all hatchlings will make it...

About your egg’s? Well I’d just like to update everyone on my babies. So far there are 19 babies out, doing very good. The last remaining four are hatching right now. They got their noses out lol. Mostly all of my babies are eating 1/4 crickets. Even some 2 day old babies are even eating too, which is pretty shocking lol. Idk if they are eating veggies yet, cause I cant tell. The baby wilh that huge yolk hanging out is also doing good. He is still inside the incubator, and the "yolk" is almost completely absorbed. Well I would again like to thank everyone for helping me. ~Brett

About your egg’s? Thanks lol. thats a cool little message thing lol. Anyways, I know sand is bad, especially the calci stuff, but today I went to the store, and saw the alfalfa pellets. If they eat it they just digest it normally like they woukd eat it anyways. Would these be safe for my babies. The thing with paper towels i, t hat the cricketsand babies go under them and its very annyoing, and they always get all wrinkly after you spray the hatchlings with water. Should the pellets be good? Anybody?

About your egg’s? I wouldn’t do it with babies. You need to mist down babies 3-5 times a day and you can’t do that with pellets (they can’t get wet at all). One thing that helps with the paper towels is misting them down so they stick to the bottom right before you put the crix in. Another viable option is shelfliner, it’s heavier than papertowel and sticks to the bottom better. Sean

About your egg’s? Yep, it comes in rolls so you can cut it to just about any size you want. There are a couple different kinds, a waffle kind with holes (you don’t want that), and 2 that are solid (1 thicker that you don’t want because it will absorb, what you want is the thinner solid one). You can get it at walmart over by the dish drainers and that stuff (usually over by the rubbermaid tubs).Sean

About your babies...? Hi everyone, Im very sorry that I have not replied in a while. I have been tied up with school work, and was time limited. I am very happy and proud to announce that my first clutch was a 100% success rate. They are all doing good, and are eating well. My 23rd egg was having trouble, and had its head and leg out, but still couldn’t free itself from the egg. My father and I were worried, because it was begining to dry up pretty bad. So we took a life or death chance, and VERY VERY VERY carefully cut and peeled the egg away from the baby. He is doing very well, and is fine with no injuries. Also, I plan on keeping 2 (thinking about 3). I plan on selling the hatchilings too private petstores that actually know what they are doing, and do not malnurish the animals they have. I also plan on selling the babies to some family, and friends. I will also sell to other people in other states, all though I do not yet know how to ship nationally. I will research it very soon, and purchase the proper shipping boxes. I will post a message when they are ready, along with more pictures. Can some people give some links to where I can buy the proper shipping boxews please. Thanks... Also, lets not argue in the posts, and have a good time. ~Brett
