We have a female who is 3 and a baby who is just under a year. When I let tem out to run around the living room our baby attempted to mate with her, but was well........ not able to. Is he even old enough to be doing this? How old do they have to be before the males are ready to be daddy’s?

Breeding age
Males really don’t have an age minimum like females do. There job is over relatively quickly so basically as soon as they are sexually mature (around 5 months old) they can be bred. I would still be careful of the size difference between the 2 though, females can get vicious if they don’t want to breed.
