 My first eggs!!

Hey all, my bearded has just laid 16 eggs, I was suspicious she was carrying but not sure so I didnt put the lay bin in, I uncovered the cage the other morning to find 16 eggs laid over the heat mat in the cage.
She lives with a male who has been showing mating signs. I removed the eggs carefully and put them in the incubator I had ready but they look squishy and wrinkled, not round, do they become round after time or is this a problem? I will try post a pic soon but my phone playing up. any advise would be good

my second clutch was like this I didn’t even know that my girl was pregnant. (2cnd time in less that 3 months). I lost most of the eggs but have managed to keep one, it was a little puffed up. Now it’s a waiting game to see if it will even hatch. Good luck

no I think these are dud, they not puffed up at all, are soft and squishy and a yellowish tinge to them.
I think clutch 2 might be on its was so lets hope for better luck next time.

Sounds like they may have cooked on the heat pad too long. Another thing that makes them squishy is too much moisture. To know if they are truly viable, while in the incubator shine a high power flashlight on each egg and if its red like blood in your finger tips with the same flash lite then they are still good. But it does sound like they were overheated.
