Bearded Dragons can breed at any time, but like most animals, the spring is when they most want to mate. Especially if the dragon has brumated the winter. Introduce them outside of their enclosures. Once you feel comfortable they won’t hurt each other, place the female in the male’s tank. Supervise. Some people do leave the female in for a week...take her out for a week and then again place her in his enclosure for another week. Then separate to her own enclosure. I leave the female in the male’s cage all day, while I am at home so I can watch them, then if going somewhere and at night, I put her in her own enclosure. It takes but a few seconds for the mating, and you might find that he mates her while you are introducing them. It’s different with different dragons....I have a male that took weeks before he would mate with the female even though he showed interest and the mating/breeding behavior was there. If your male shows the interest, then just be patient and keep introducing them. They will eventually get it. Know the signs......mating vs aggression. Hope this helps. Edel |

Personally, if the male breeds with the female while you’re introducing them, I would not put her in his enclosure at all. I would wait the 30 days to see if she in fact lays eggs. At that point, if she doesn’t, then I would introduce her into his enclosure. Edel |
