MORE EGGS!!!!
My female, Blossom, laid her first clutch on Dec. 4th. 18 eggs. I am currently incubating them. I immediately separated her from the male. Now, tonight, she laid about 23 eggs at last count. Is this normal. After her last clutch, I gave her liquid calcium everyday for 2 weeks then returned to dusting just like they told me, alternating multi-vitamin 3 times a week and making sure she gets plenty of uvb AND natural sunlight everyday. Is there anything else I should be doing. Anyone interested in some hatchlings soon?

MORE EGGS!!!! It’s a few days late but ya it’s perfectly normal. Beardies retain sperm and can refertilize about once a month for several months from 1 breeding (records 18 months that i’ve heard of but it usually goes 4-6). I’d lose the liquid calcium and go to a powder, sometimes the liquids are too strong and hard to judge. Other than that it sounds like your doing everything you can. I’d up her protein (live food) a bit to help her put the fat reserves that she needs back on also. Sean

MORE EGGS!!!! A few days laying eggs? I’ve had the lay box in her tank a few days. Initially, I tried putting her in a different tank with the lay box but she was having none of it. I am feeding her lots of vegies and superworms and wax worms every other day. What else can I give her for increased protein?

MORE EGGS!!!! I meant a few days late based on her original lay date of Dec 4th, usually refertilizations are about every 30 days. Not a big deal though, all girls do it different. What your feeding sounds fine, the supers and a few waxies will pop the weight back on her usually. Don’t forget to calcium dust daily for right now (as long as she’s producing) she’ll need the extra for egg production or she’ll rob it from herself. Sean
