An egg a day? For the past 5 - 6 days Gem my 18 month old dragon has laid an egg everyday. Is this normal? She is not bred to my male, so all of the eggs are blanks. If dragons usually have 15-25 eggs in a clutch will she just keep laying for that many days?I know that females will lay even though they have not bred, but I didn’t think they would lay just one egg per day.???????? Thanks for any info you might have.

An egg a day? they are supposed to lay all their eggs at once. This is not normal. Does she have a lay box? If you don’t have a place she feels comfortable laying she might be holding them in til you do have one. This will definately endanger her health, if not her life.

An egg a day? She does have a laying box and she doesn’t use it to lay the eggs in! She digs in the box all day and then comes out and lays the eggs by the front door of her cage. It’s almost like she wants me to find them there when I come in.??????????? She has been very active, so I’m not too worried about her right now.

An egg a day? Somethings wrong with your lay box, the conditions aren’t right for her to lay in it and that’s why she’s doing this, try this instead. Get the largest rubbermaid container you can find at walmart and a big bag of plain cheap dirt (without all the fertilizers). Pile moistened dirt (not muddy) on one end of the bin on a slope about 10-15 inches deep, point a light at it to keep it warm and put her in. She should dig a tunel and lay all of her eggs at once. An egg a day? Thanks for the info Sean. She hasn’t layed an egg in 2 days now and I don’t feel anymore in her belly, so I think she is done. She has also stopped digging. So how often will she be laying these non-fertile eggs?

An egg a day? It’s a random thing that’s different for each girl, some never do it some do it once a month like clockwork. Sean

An egg a day? Knowing her and her PMS attitude, she will be the once a month type gal. Just my luck!

An egg a day? Well no more wondering and worrying. I took out the potting soil dig box and put her wheat bran dig box back in and tonight she laid 19 more eggs. With the ones she laid by the door it is 23 that I found for sure. I really hope she doesn’t lay 23 eggs every month! So now that she has laid the eggs, I gave her a nice vitamin soak. Is there anything else besides upping her food and calcium intake?

An egg a day? No, that’s about it and 23 is a good average clutch size. Sean

An egg a day? Hi ... I dont know if my beardie is done laying eggs yet. She has only laid 5 eggs and all are dead beats. Shriveled up for the most part. I am going to take her to work with me on monday to take x rays , This to make sure there are no more eggs. I am a little worried . Its been 5 days since she laid the few eggs and nothing is happening as of yet. What should i do. She shares an enclosure with her male friend. She is almost 2 years old. Very active and eating well. An egg a day? Yes I did but I think its too small. She keeps jumpng out of it not really interested in staying there. Its about 12"x 15 ". Its this too small. Shes also not digging at all. I thought that if she was interested in laying anymore eggs she would be digging more frquently.
