 HELP needed ASAP

My female BD who has retained sperm and laid 2 clutches withen 3 weeks of each other is acting strange. Its now been 5 weeks since the last clutch and I am almost possitive she has eggs again inside her.

She had no problems with the first 2 cluthes of 25 each but appears maybe to be egg bound??? She started digging yesterday like she was ready and today she keeps panting and appears to be having contractions. She wont go inside the tunnel she laid her eggs in last time, she seems to get mad when I try to point her that direction.

She also keeps shaking her rear end like she is trying to push something out but she is diong it right in the open and keeps doing it every couple minutes. I never noticed her do that with the last 2 clutches. Does it sound normal?

So does it sound like she could be bound up? If yes is there help I can give her without having to rush her off to the vet? Like a warm bath?? Could she just be having a stronger labor than the first 2? Please let me know.

Is she allways doing this. It is possible that she is filling up with air to stretch out her skin!

She has never acted like this before. She appears to be in labor but there are no eggs yet, however the last 2 clutches (her only 2 as far as I am aware of, because she was given to me just a few months ago) she started to dig a bit the day or so before and she laid both clutches at mid-day, so I was able to watch her and see her behavior and she did not continually twitch her rear like she has been doing on and off for most of the morning now.

Give her a warm bath like you asked. My female just laid today and she has been digging on and off for a week now. I noticed that my female seems to be more stubern with each clutch. Last night I figured that she might be finally ready to lay because when I went put her back into her tank she jump backed, hissed, and tried to nip at me. And she is a very gentle lizard. Just be patient but not too patient. Good luck on her laying and keep us updated. O-yeah I remember someone saying in another post to try to gently rub her belly..... I did that to mine this last night when I was soaking her.

Thanks for your reply. I did try the warm bath yesterday and she looked like she was going to use the bathroom but instead of doing that there was what appeared to be the bulge of an egg trying to come out. But there was nothing. She did seem to enjoy the bath and I will do it again today.

She freaked out most the night trying to get out of the cage but still nothing yet. Like I said there was nothing strange about the first 2 clutches, she was very calm both times and went in the tunnel I made for her and laid the eggs in the middle of the day, so this is new for me and so I am worried for her.

I really hope this is her last clutch, because despite the supplements she has been getting her body just looks worn out.

Any advice from people here who have been through this would be very appreciated. Thanx, Jen
