Oh guys....whats going on with my eggs?
On Saturday morning I did my weekly check on Hunnies eggs..and one of them looked strange, like it was beginning to shrink up. So, I thought it was going bad like the other one did. I checked them again a few minutes ago to see what the one egg looked like now...and it doesnt look any worse ..BUT...most of the other eggs have tiny droplets of water on them! I have seen ppl saying they sweat before they hatch....are they sweating? Is it possible that the one egg is collapsing and not going bad? This is only day 34 in the incubator. Is it too early for this? Should I wipe them off or leave them alone? Whats going on?? Also if they are sweating ....how long before i should see babies? Should I leave the top loose now instead of snapped on? I am so nervous now!! |

I just read a different post on eggs sweating...i am gonna go take the top off of the container for 20 min...but leave the container inside of the incubator, like i read blueeyes advised(I think it was)frogsgirl. But I still wonder are they trying to hatch early, since i have the one that is (possibly)collapsing? Confused!!! |

Oh guys....whats going on with my eggs?
| I have had them start to sweat around 40 days before and then from the extra moisture mold and go bad. Let them air out some and hopefully that will help. It is too early for them to hatch. |

I wiped them off and let them air out for 20 min in the incubator. after 20 mins there was more sweat on them again! i wiped them off again. I put them back in with the top on loosely. Should i keep the top off longer? If so how long? I use the method You suggested blueeyes, and have not added any water to the container...why would they begin doing this now? I coned them like heartmountian said and I saw viens in all but 3... (2 are kinda dirty from the potting soil they were buried in and the other is the shriveling one) I even saw movement in one egg!!! Exciting stuff!! I dont want to loose them to mold now! What can I do?

Oh guys....whats going on with my eggs?
| I kept the lid off the eggs for an hour at a time twice a day, but also took out the plugs on the top of the incubator to let the air flow through- and after like 2-3 days of doing that- they stopped sweating... hopefully that will work for you too. |

Ok...I will try that ...thanks frogsgirl!!! Maybe I can get this pic on here this time lol!

Hope it works ok....the pic is kinda dark..sorry! Like I said some of them are dirty from the potting soil. I have lost 2...i hope i dont loose anymore! The middle egg on the lastrow (the row of 3)on the righthand side is the one that is shriveling. The last one I lost was right next to it. |
