You will need two 20 gallons for 2 beardie’s. Did you even read my post? You wouldn’t be able to keep them together after three months of age.

so instead of feeding mealworms what should I use other than crickets. I’ll still feed him/her crickets but what other bugs are they able to eat and digest. Also what should I expect in him/her in the first night or two. How long does it normally take for them to trust and "love" you.

You can feed roaches or silkworms as a staple also.

They may be stressed the first week or two and may not eat. It may take time for them to trust you. Just move slowly and keep the handling to a minimum for the first 2 weeks so they can get acclimated. After that, move slowly. Let them get used to seeing your hand in their enclosure without touching them for awhile.

they can eat most kinds of worms, just not mealworms. im not too sure about which worms can be used as staples and others just as treats. i know for sure silkworms are good staples, but the others someone else will have to tell you.

as for the first couple of days, your beardy may be defensive and reluctant to eat. its stressful for them to settle into a new tank or new house entirely. im going through that right now with my beardy, ’cause i just moved into a new house and shes not liking living with my relatives, since she was so used to having my bedroom in my old house all to herself. but give it a few days and they will settle just fine and be back to normal.

if you handle them regularly, they should learn who you are very quickly. what i have experienced with mine is that she knows me so well but is very defensive towards my relatives and sister, because she hasnt been around them to "know" them. just approach slowly so not to startle them, and when placing your hand in the tank, place it where they can see it, so they know youre there.
