 Eyes, bolging?

Well, I was just looking at her and she closed her eyes. Then they got huge, as if they were swolen like a human’s eyes. And started doing this shaking thing, same motion as if a human was throwing up. i got worried because she had thrown up this morning due to meal worms that were removed asap. She has eaten about 20 small...really small, today sine about 4 pm and itis now 8:06pm. She is also constantly taking long blinks unlike usual. She will also close one eye and leave the other open. She is pooping, drinking, and is extremel active. Any thoughts?

Maybe just tired? Lights are on from 7 am to 9 pm for a total of 14 hours

She is about 5 inches long, temp is correct.

I don’t know, if im getting worked up about nothing or what here, but any reassurance is great.

Thanks

Yes, you need to calm down! Your posts are getting crazy here! lol! I replied to one of your other ones. It’s been 4 days..calm down, let her get adjusted to her home. What kind of UVB do you have over her?? That will help answer a question..

As long as she is active, eating, pooping all that, she is fine. Your stress will go off on to her and she doesnt need that right now. Try not to hold her much! Can you post pics for me to see?? That would help!

Thanks, L~

they will do the eye buldging when they are shedding and u can tell if there getting ready to shed by the dull color that there skin will change.and sometimes they will leave one eye open and one eye closed bc it the wild they are constantly watching there backs ,so if they take a break and close one eye it just means they are keeping an eye on there surrounding, also if u are holding him/her and they do it, i heard it means that they want to be left alone lol

good luck

Nah, she only does it when she is basking.

I dont have many photos of her but I’ll post the two I have right now. I just wanted to make sure she was ok. You know, the nervous worry-some owner of a new gorgeous and fun pet who only wants the best for her.

She has uvb 7%
and a uva 75watt

I only have 2 photos of her right now.

She sure is a cutie.

I would replace her UVB with a reptiglo 8.0 or a reptisun 10.0 tube. 7% isn’t enough and these are the only safe bulbs to use right now.

Hey,

I agree that you should get a higher uvb bulb. Lower than 8.0 is not a good idea.

The 7.0 usually come with a plastic covering the bulb. If it has one of those, please remove it. It keeps the uv rays from reaching your little girl.

I’m sorry but this is a horrible bulb. Like I said, the only safe bulbs to use are the reptiglo 8.0 or the reptisun 10.0 tubes. The reptiglo 10.0 has been causing serious health problems and has been connected to several deaths. I know from experience. I had one of my beardie’s on it for about a few weeks. He started squinting alot, lost his appetite, and became very lethargic. It took him 2 weeks to return to normal after we turned it off. Turn it off and get one of the safe bulbs. LLLreptile.com has good prices on them.

I forgot to mention, she was shedding when i purchased her. Or i should say was finishing up shedding when I got her. Would she really be shedding again so quickly?

Here are some better photos of her.

when they are little they will shed alot bc they will be growing quickly but when they get a bit older they will slow down on shedding bc they r not growing as fast as when they were little

Your little beardie looks to be nice a fatty! Healthy!! I would change the UVB bulb like Sairhead said and just keep doing what your doing. She looks great. If you really wanted to, you could go drop a fresh poop sample off to a vet and get them to check it for parasites.. it would be a good idea for she is a baby. They arent expensive to do either...and with your worrisom self it might calm ya down some! lol!! She looks great though!! Good luck with her!!

I changed the bulb to the reptisun 10%.

Her poop was a little runny today or I should say watery. She ran through it a few times before I got home and saw the present she left me. So, I don’t really know if it was runny. It was also the first time she pooped on the paper as well so It might just be that the paper towels soaked up the moisture.
