 Age by Size?

Hello everyone, I haven’t posted in a while but I have a question now. My beardie Odis dropped his tail, ( I had bought him that way) but anyways, I measured him because I want to know his age but because he dropped his tail I can’t tell for sure how long he is so I need some help.
He is 7.5 inches and 19 cm. These measurements are from the tip of his tail to his mouth.
I would just like to know how old he is if you could tell me I tried calling the breeder I had bough him from but he didn’t know so I need some help.

Thanks,

Tyler.

How long have you had him vs. how long the breeder had him before you bought him mine are about 17 in my females tail was broken while young- the breeder was housing all of them together but my female is 10 years old & my male is pushing 12 I have some old timers but as long as they are eating were good ! Good luck maybe check with your local reptile vet for help. Or check out Melissa Kaplan’s site

Hey Tyler,

Normally the babies are sold at about six to eight weeks. How long have you had him? Just add that to six weeks and you should be pretty close.

Beardies don’t drop their tail, so it must have gotten bitten/nipped by another dragon in the clutch.
