 Puff is scared of roaches?

HAHA.
Ever since I have switched Puff from crickets to roaches he refuses to eat crickets, but I have noticed that he is started to get scared of the roaches. He will eat like 2 and then he freaks out and tries to fling himself out of his feeding container and off of my bed...I guess he takes after my dad.
Does anyone know if he will get use to this? He doesnt eat very much anymore so I didnt know if it was just because he wasnt hungry or he is too scared to eat.

I would try just putting a couple at a time, too many at once can freak them out

Are they to big? They should be no bigger than the space between the eyes, or even a little smaller.

Put the roaches in with him in his tank. I used to feed mine in a container with roaches but they are so freakin slow, it doesnt matter. When you dust the roaches, it makes them veeerryy sluggish. So, if you drop one at a time like you say, then they wont get away from him.

Awe! He is such a little cutie! Poor little guy!

I’ve never heard of a dragon that was scared of his food! Heck, my dragon Gary is fearless! When he sees my ball python he crawls right up to his glass and tips his head to the side and gets all excited cause he thinks its a big super worm for him to eat! lol!

lol yeah he seems like he has had a rough life. He freaks out when I hold him to long, he goes outside, and the roaches of course. He is 4 believe it or not and he is still REALLY small and had some signs of MBD when i got him. I love him to death though!
I think I will try the cage thing....maybe he wont be as scared if he knows he can run up on his basking thing.

Are you talking about him being 4years old or 4 months old?? I hope 4 months..cuz he is waaay to small to be 4 years old! I would really try some hard core feedings at a gradual pace. Also, if he is 4 yrs...he doesnt have signs of MBD..he has to have it!

 Puff is scared of roaches?

yup...4 YEARS.
I know, its sad right? He been doing a LOTTT better than when i first got him. I have been feeding him greens everyday and crickets and roaches a little more often than a normal beardie...with calcium and multivitamins.
Heres a picture of when i first got him

and here is him now...this is probably a better picture of him..you can actually see the weight he has gained. He sill has issues with his legs being weak but other than that, he has majorly improved

i know right?
Its like having a permanent puppy. He amazed me on how quick he gained weight and started using his legs better....he absolutly loves running around in my room everyday jumping on the windowsill and planning his escape...oh and of course pooping in the most inconvienant places.
