 Need some help

my baby beardie, cyra, just ate a bird feather while she was playing on the floor. i have heard that you can use mineral oil as a laxative to help them pass stuff. her basking site is 111, and her cool side is about 83. she weighs 42 grams (as of saturday). i dont know how much to give her and if i even should give her them mineral oil. my vet isn’t open until tomorrow morning. any advice would be great...
i forgot to mention, she hatched mid march of this year

how big was the feather? im thinking if it was one of those small, fluff type ones, there shouldnt really be a problem with her passing it, since the stem thing in the middle isnt hard as the large feathers from the wing. but im not 100% on that, im not a professional.

also, have you noted any change in eating habits or behaviour in cyra? that may indicate she isnt feeling so hot after eating the feather. if shes still eating normally and being her usual active self, i wouldnt worry too much.

im not sure about the oil, i personally have no knowledge of it. im sure someone on here does, though.
just keep an eye on her and post an update. be sure to call your vet if you feel like there is or will be a problem her body cant sort out on her own.

hope i helped some C:

it wasn’t one of the soft downy ones, but it wasn’t a flight feather either, probably about the size of a cricket, maybe a half inch or so. so far, she seems to be normal, but it is bed time for her too, so she is under her log, hiding, which she does every night at this time. i will deffinitely check on her during the night and in the morning.. i will post tomorrow with an update..

she’ll probably become more inactive during the night when her lamps go off. however check in the morning, see if she eats a few crickets, and if she poops, let us know the colour/consistency of the stool. that may indicate if there is a problem, or if one will come up.

just keep us updated, and like i said before, if you feel the need, call your vet. better safe than sorry, plus you dont want your little guy to be uncomfortable. C:
