 Uvb light going off....ASAP

is this normal it goes off for about 2 mins then comes on for 2 mins whats with that

They have a built in thermostat basically...if they are getting over heated in the dome they will shut off and cool down.

If it is another issue such as a low voltage drop they will also shut off....I had a friend here and when all the family was home and using lights ..refer.. washer dryer ... vacuum ...the voltage would cause the MVB to flicker and stay out for a minute or 2. Then it would come back on ...he eventually figured out it was the vacuum that was causing the most trouble ... that and a small house with old wiring and service panel.

What do you think it might be ... you can drill more ventilation holes in the dome to remove excess heat ...It has happened to us a few times too...

Hey thanks for the reply, i think that the light connectors either side arent tight enough, they seem to " click" in properly but then when the light goes off i have to push the ends together again and it comes back on

Nah, Panic is for impatient people, panic just makes you nuts and impairs your thinking ability, why waste your time panicking when you could be doing something about it instead? :-)
