 OT: pygmy (bearded) chameleons

Does/has anyone owned one of these? I am thinking about rescuing a breeding couple from someone who has abandoned them. But it seems like caresheets are few and far between on the intrawebz. If anyone knows of some reliable information or just how they are as pets I would appreciate it!
They sure are keewt.

I owned pygmy leaf cham’s for a little while, and I feel your pain..I couldn’t find a single care sheet, so I went off of what the previous owner told me. They aren’t very hardy (in my experience), especially alone. I have heard from many a person that, if separated from companions/mates, their remaining cham has died. The picture that you have posted was about as big as my full grown little lady got, which means you’ll be stocking up on pinhead crickets! Fruit flies are also an option, though I recommend you cover any screen (at least while feeding)..I can’t tell you how often my cats found pins all over the house. They won’t usually drink from still water, so spraying the tank is the best bed for optimum drinking-though you should put a shallow water dish in, just incase. I’d say a fifteen gallon would be your best bet for minimum, considering you are getting two. The tank should be set up in a tropical fashion, with plenty of plants/places they can hide.
If you’ve got any questions I didn’t address, feel free to PM me and I’ll do my best to help you out!

Awesome, thanks for your response. Thats so cute they get little broken hearts! :c
My main worry is the breeding thing, I’ve never bred an animal or had one have babies and I’m scared they will breed fast and I’ll have to much to handle.

so cute!
