 Why?

My beardy dragon is around 8 or 9 monthes old and when ever i turn him over on his back he makes like a wheezing/hissing sound and beards out, but only when he is on his back. other than that he never makes the sound again, his temps are 107 and cool side 74 or so, what is wrong with him he acts perfectley normal and is on tile with a MVB bulb

 Why?

It’s because he doesn’t like it for one thing. And too, I have heard that they have difficulty breathing when they are on their backs. Don’t worry, what he is doing is a perfectly normal reaction, just don’t turn him over and it won’t be a problem. :-)

 Why?

Please never turn a bearded dragon on their back, They do not have protective discs between their vertebras and it causes pressure along the spinal cord that the verterbras can slip over and damage very easily and it also affects their breathing patterns. Not a good thing to do for herps....

If you need to look at his belly just hold him up and look underneath that way you don’t have to turn him over. But, your welcome. :-)
