Hey
Im proberly overthinking this but today i took Gizmo out and he wandered around for a bit but i noticed his butt was kinda moving like when he does a poop, but then it sort of moved back if that made sense, like it was tensing. I lifted his tail up and there looked like something was stuck in his vent, i pulled it carefully but im not sure if its attached, cos it wont come out. I dont wanna pull too hard and hurt him. Im sorry if it sounds confusing. I have a picture, not a verry good one though:


And just out of cuteness ill add another of his pretty face :D

Hi there,

Wow, he is very beautiful first of all, and a big boy!

Sounds to me like he may have ate something that maybe hard to pass while he was out. Did you see him eat anything? Have you tried to give him a warm soak, it may help him pass whatever it is, I am sure it’s nothing serious though...You could raise his basking temps also, and give him a treat with a drop or two of olive or mineral oil, he should pass it with the oil for sure...Let me know how it goes...

I dont think its a stick, theres nothing like that in his tank, so if it is im not sure how he got hold of it :S
Im not sure what it is, but it definatley feels like its attatched, im not sure if its skin thats shedded or something from the inside :S
Ill give him a bath in a morning, hes sleeping now (I live in England) and see if when he poops it gets rid of it.
I dont think hes in pain, but it doesnt look very comfrotable for him.

my bearded got a thing like that and i pulled it out, he didnt seem to be hurt by it just mad that it was there. It looked very grose. If u want to try tugging it im sure itll come out with tweezers.

This has happened to my beardie, Taz, before too. If it’s hard then stick your beardie in a bath and let the water soften what’s stuck. Then gently tug at the stuck bit until it comes loose. Otherwise, you can wait for your beardie to poop next time and it should come off on its own. I’m not sure why this happens, but sometimes it does. It’s very inconsistent and rare so I never did manage to narrow down the cause.

I have an update on Gizmo
I gave him a warm bath yesterday, But he really hates bathes, really hates baths.
He puffs himself up and starts trying to jump out. And he didnt poop like he usually did when hes in the bath.
But when i came home from work, he did a poop in his tank, so i cleared it up and looked to see if the thing was still there, and it was. So i tugged on it and it finally came out.
It wasnt a stick or anything like that, im really confused as to what it was. I think it was just hard skin but im not sure.
But the good news is that its outta him now. This is him after i put him back just now :)
(Ignore the camera date, I dunno how to change it :D)


So i think hes all better now, but its still a mystery of what it is, and how it got there :)

Maybe it is a sperm plug. Are you sure he is a ’he’? Was it waxy/hard....? Did you take a picture once you pulled it out?

I had him sexed at the shop i bought him from, and they said he was a definate he
So im pretty sure he is a he, cos hes huge for a dragon

I didnt take a picture of it, i totally forgot
It was a little bit hard, it looked like when dragons shed the inside of their noses. Like the skin that sheds out from thier noses. Thats what it reminded me of.

To be honest, all i wanted to do was dispose of it, and wash my hands :)

Sorry i didnt take a picture, i blame it on my blondeness :P

I think he must have some German Giant in him, but i cant be sure
