 Short quick question.

Why does my bearded lick the ground constantly, usually when hes walking around and such.

A lot of lizards do that. It’s just their way of checking things out. It’s similar to the lizards and snakes with forked tongues in a way. If you put your finger near your beardie’s mouth or chin he/she might actually lick your finger too. Some people have suggested it may be a territory marking thing, but I don’t think so since beardies seem to lick things where ever they go.

iguanas do it, too. just checking things out. i haven’t seen my water dragon do it yet, but i won’t be surprised if he does.
