#2266594 HeeeyOctopus View Profile	Does anyone know why my Beardie coughs/weezes? I’ve had my beardie Haribo for over a year now since she was a baby and for about 6 months she’s been inflating her beard out and coughing which would act as a sneeze to a human...but lizards don’t sneeze do they :s. The coughing sounds like a squeaky toy, she does it about three times and then won’t do it for a couple of days. She eats well and appears healthy but i still do not know why she does this :s

Taken her to the vets this morning and he said she is all healthy looking, but gave me some meds to help clear out the problem! Hopefully i’ll have a happy lizard again in no time!

When we bought her we were sold a massive tank that we were told was the best for her, in which case the shop tricked us into us paying more money so i think the lack of heat in her tank was the reason she got this infection. She is now in a smaller tank, at the right temps. After four days of medication, she hasn’t really improved. In fact she hasn’t really eaten anything since we’ve been giving her the medication Baytril :s

She has two days left to take the remaining Baytril doses and then we’ll see how she is from there. She’s began eyeing up food but not interested in morios, mealies, veg or crickets. The only food she will seem to eat is the adult locusts...just sucks they’re so expensive haha.
