It’s a girl....
Well, we went to go pick up some roaches this weekend and we took her with us. The guy at the store looked at her, picked up her tail and said "Yup, it’s a girl!" :) The funny thing is, he asked us where we got her from and I told him the breeder where we got her. He asked one of the other guys in the store to come look at her and said that he had some baby beardies at that breeder to be sold on consignment at the same time we purchased her and he thinks that the shape of her head (don’t know what he meant) and the way she "looked" (still don’t know what he meant) it was possibly one of his. (He is also a breeder and was friends with the guy we got her from) She is just now 1 yr and 7 months old. Can breeders tell "their" beardies from others after they get older? He was a nice kid and gave me compliments on the way our beardie looked. Said she looked really good and nice and healthy. :) Also, he said he is feeding his roaches high protein cat food. Is that normal? I thought that the roaches at a special type of roach food as the crickets eat cricket food, no? I don’t want to feed her roaches that aren’t being fed right themselves, and in turn have it affect her. But I have to say, this little girl LOVES her roaches! |
