 What is Buddy’s problem?!?!

Buddy has never bitten me or shown any sings of aggressiveness. Today I was sitting on the couch holding him and he wanted down so I was about to let him down when he pinned my finger against his tail with his back leg!!!! I was trying to get my finger out when he just off my lap, still with my finger stuck he reached around and tried to bite me! Luckily I got my finger out but why did he do that? Could it be because he is shedding? I have had him since he was 5 months old, he just turned 1 last month. Buddy is usually the sweetest little lizard! I don’t want him to get aggressive! I am not going to hold him until he is done shedding. Any ideas could cause him to do this? Thanks

Hi,

Ah The Pinning Between the tail and the leg!!!!! LOL Sorry, but that happens to me quite a bit. They don’t mean to do it, it just happens. The fact that he turned to bite just probably means he was confused as to why your finger was still there. Maybe he didn’t know it was your finger and got scared. If he has never been aggressive, then he won’t be. I’m sure it was just a one time incident and even if you try and hold him while shedding he will be fine, after all, he needs that extra bath while he’s shedding. ;)

Oh, good! Thank you! Would that have made Buddy stressed? He had a black beard the rest of the evening. Thanks
