Our beardie is approx 9months old(we got him in Jan from PetSmart and he was about 4 inches long then) and 15.5 inches long now. He is normally laid back and calm,but lately he’s been glass dancing like crazy, trying to jump into the background on his tank, etc. He is in a 40 gal breeder, he has crickets for breakfast and collard greens with summer squash every day(which he eats) with occasional treats of banana and strawberry. He’s on repti-carpet and his "gifts" are cleaned up immediately as I stay home.
He’s eating normal, pooping normal, allowing us to handle and play with him, and everything is normal except he’s acting like he has ADHD!
Anyone know why he’s acting this way all of a sudden again?

My Beardie does that too usually because he sees something that looks like food to him. He’ll scratch the glass if he sees me take out the crickets or worms. He usually won’t stop until he gets fed. If thats not it, maybe it could be too hot in the cage yours is in.

He does it all day long and he is fed crickets for breakfast so that he’ll have time to digest them properly and my take on the cool side stays around 70F and the warm side stays around 95-100F.....the temps haven’t changed since I first got him in Jan. I’m just not sure what’s causing the behavior unless he is just an attention hog!

my beardie does this once every year. do you know if it is a male or female. right around this time is mating season i believe for them. therefore he is seeing his reflection and is trying to attack it or go to it. i just put some newspaper around the tank for a little bit and he should calm down.
