 Harrison as a baby and now...

Most of you know the story about how Harrison is female...but, I’ll tell it again in case there are new people. When we went to get a CAG from the breeder, I wanted a female. The breeder said she had 2 females and 1 male...Harrison was the male she said she had. Harrison flew right to us and was talking at 3 months of age. The other two were just sitting on the floor not doing anything. Because of these reasons, we decided on "the male"...I really liked the name Sophia and figured I’d just name ’him’ that anyway...’he’ wouldn’t know the difference. Well, that lasted about 24 minutes and a few days later we decided on Harrison. We had a few vet checks done on ’him’ and then last summer decided to go ahead and do the DNA test. From what I have read, males talk more than females. She learned to talk so fast and picks up sounds lickity-split. The only thing that really made us think he was a she was her size. Well, obviously, the test came back female. She already knew her name so we just left it. She is such a pleasure and I love her to death. But, I’ll be honest. After the honeymoon period (about 2-3 months)...I regreted getting her. I didn’t feel I was doing right by her. I felt she needed more than I could give and I didn’t know what to do. Then one day, I found myself at work thinking about her....with friends thinking about her....shopping thinking about her...you get the idea.I fell head over heels....lol. Now, I don’t know what I’d do without her. I know I’ve posted some of these photos before, but here goes....

I’m trying to teach him "Tell me about it, stud"...you know, the famous line in "Grease"...so far he says "Tell me about it, SSSSS"

He said "Tell me about it, Stud" perfectly. He doesn’t always say it perfectly, but most of the time he does.

He’s also saying different variations of the phrases in the first group. Like "Whatcha doin boy?" or "Whatcha doin Harrison?" He beeps like the microwave, makes belching and farting sounds, whines like the dog, wolf whistles, and he also kinda mumbles in my husbands voice...I’ll say "what did you say?" to my husband...and he didn’t say anything at all...it was Harrison.

Since we’ve found out that Harrison is female, we’ve been talking to her as such. She’s learned a few new phrases...

She’s also barking like our dog...she talks to the dog but I can’t understand her...she says "blah blah...Sandy!!" (the dog’s name)

I had a sneezing episode yesterday and after each sneeze, my husband said "bless you"...well, this morning, Harrison made a sneezing sound and said "bless you" right after. ha.

She has started clucking like a chicken...I don’t know where she got that.
She’s also recently started saying "turkey" because I call her that.
When I go to get her out of her cage, she sometimes plays hard to get. Well, she’s got what I say down pat.
"wanna come out?" "NO?...ok"...(i walk away)..."turkey!!"...then Harrison kinda stomps her feet..."oh you do wanna come out?"..."I thought so"..."Turkey!!"
