 Aviary mesh

I’m building an aviary for my doves, and i ended up using window screen cause that’s what i had around. but now i’m afraid because i’ve never seen anyone else use it for a cage or aviary. i’m worried that the birds (finches i think)will get there nails caught in the material. anyone know?

nice aviry but i would have used 1/2 in hardware cloth just watch that they dont get thier claws hung up on the screen
