Japeneze painted quail incubation  i know its 18 days to hatch there 17 days now but these 10 eggs ive got are the very first time they have layed eggs so will they be fertile or will it of been better to wait untill they laid a few more ive got a male in with them the eggs dont seem to be making any noise as like chickens when they hatch u can hear if there hatching f u put the egg to ur ear

Japeneze painted quail incubation  I know with most birds their first clutch of eggs tends to be less fertile than others but that doesnt mean you wont get any fertile ones... I would wait until a few days after the expected hatch date just to be sure.... gl!
