 Hi and plz respond...

hi..uhh.....i read that if a budgie has poop all over smudged where the vent feathers(butt) are then that can be considered as a disease and the bird will die later on...is that true and should i go back and return her?

I suggest you take the advice of the other poster & clean her up. It may be due to stress, it may not be...
once cleaned you can keep an eye on her. If her vent is still dirtying then yes they might be a problem.

A vet check will help to ease your mind. Also if they are ill theres nothing you can do other than take the bird to an avian vet. We can’t diagnose or offer vet help (& should not) from here.

Contact your budgie seller & ask for advice on this issue. SOME will take the bird back if it’s suddenly ill or dies, some don’t. IF they wont take the bird back then take your budgies to the vet, get a thorough health check done on them & if they are ill or die within 4 to 6 weeks of you bringing them home then it’s more likely that the birds did come from the seller ill to start with.

If you don’t get a vet check you’re worrying yourself for nothing, you’re risking the birds health & you risk having your word against the sellers...JUST TAKE THEM TO THE VET.

it depends what it is

how long have you had the bird?

new birds are often stressed out and get diarea b/c of this and it gets stuck to their butts

i would clean him up and i would leave it alone for a few days to settle in and if it doesnt get better in a few days take him to the vet

what do you feed(treats included)

if you are thinking of bird flu then yes it will die and all the birds from the store will have it too (most likly)but do not panic!!!!

coming home is very stressful to a bird you took it out of a hame full of flockmates that they have been in for a long time and putting it all alone in a n unfamiliar place so abviosly he is going to be a little stressed out
