 My budgie...

Okay well i got a budgie yesterday and he is finger tame and i have put him outside of the cage and he is very curious
but my problem is that he doesnt eat. he will eat little bits of millet and treats but not seeds or pellets or fruits and veggies. what do i do??

ohh and i will post pics of him later

well just keep him in the cage with the food until he is settled in. leave him in the cage for a day or two and just give him food and talk to him in a calm voice. once he gets to know the place he should start eating. dont panic.

i dont know.. all i know is that its not good. you could use yahoo answers. its great for those kind of things. you get answers quikly from all kinds of people, or you might find someone with the same question in "search question". i like this website but alot of the time it takes to long to get answers. this is still my fav though. go repticzone!

Poop stuck to the vent isn’t good. If you can, gently wrap him in a towel and try to use warm water to clean it off. They can get so clogged up that they can’t poop, which might explain why he isn’t eating (constipation=no appetite).

If that doesn’t work, or it happens again, I’d suggest a vet visit.
