Hey i need people to answer if they know this. 
hi..how can you tell if your budgies mated?and how large should be a nesting box and what should be in a nesting box and what to baby budgies eat?and plz give other advice plz thank you...

Budgies don’t usually mate except when kept in larger groups, so it’s unlikely that yours have mated. You can provide a small box with some bedding if you suspect they have, but that will only encourage them to mate. I’ve never seen a single pair of budgies with no nesting box try to mate, but I’m sure it’s happened somewhere.

i thought they mated better when thers only 2...same goes for when you have one budgie and its will be easier to train thats what i heard but tnxs for the advice

i have 4 budgies (3 female, 1 male), have never had a nesting box, and they are 8 years old. they laid eggs for the first time last year. they didn’t lay on them and they didn’t hatch. this year, they laid 7 eggs; 5 hatched; 3 lived. the parents pretty much took turns taking care of them. mostly the mother sat and the father fed the babies and her. it started with the 2 birds sitting together and kinda sorta kissing and beak rubbing. the male also got territorial. my female has a great relationship with my gc conure, and the male budgie didn’t like it at all... now he is getting cozy with one of my other females... they went through alot more food and water. i put fresh grass in their cage and tried to give them a basket and nest box, and all they would do is poop on it....

you should have a nest thats important and if they laid on the floor then i would cover walls with black paper and put floor material on the floor...
