 Talk about a scare!

so i come home after a long day and i find this in the bottom of Freeon’s cage...

so i go to grab him and this is what happens...

then he flies off and skidded along the floor (which i dont have a pic of...) and i pick him up and take him outside so he doesnt get more blood everywhere...

then i wrap him in a towl and take him to the vet where we find that he had a cyst in his leg which was swollen and his ID band was causing it to get irratated. (what you cant see in the pics is that he also has no toes so he always leans back on his hawks) well the band needed to come off a.s.a.p. and they needed to use a high powered saw to get it off and to do that they needed to put him to sleep for a little while. while they were working on him they also opened up his injury and cleaned it out and gave him the shots and things he needed to make it heal fast. i feel sooooooo bad that this happeded! i had absolutly NO clue he was even in pain! i know i dont give him nearly as much attention since i had my baby but he is never locked up yet he never leaves his cage. he is about as spoiled as it gets without overdoing it. (if thats possible) he has never had any problems with anything up until that day... well anyways when i finally got to bring him home he was still a little drugged up...

and to make things worse... he got a purple wrap! he is a BOY and purple is a GIRL’s color! hello ppl! they could have given him green or yellow! jeez...

Aw, poor baby. what a lucky bird that you rushed him to the vet like you did. Don’t worry about the purple, it’s a royal color, not really girl or bay. LOL
