 My budgie...

My budgie tucker, doesnt seem to eat or like millet. And i have heard that they LOVE it. He doesnt seem to. Why doesnt he eat it?

That is very odd lol. I wouldn’t worry, though, millet isn’t very nutritious anyway. More of a treat. What does he usually eat?

Well at the pet shop, he ate a seed mix, but i am trying to switch him to pellets, which isnt working so well, any tips?

its ok but how long have you had the millet there?it could also be scaring the bird.big or colourful items can scare birds real easly but dont worry its not some thing to be afraid of.. :)

Lol, they aren’t afraid of the pellets, they just don’t like them. Try getting the Zupreem colored canary sized pellets to mix in with (a very small amount of) seeds. Sometimes they like the smaller ones better. You can also try coating them in honey or jam to see if that attracts them.

Another thing to try is to feed them only pellets in the morning, and not give them seeds until the afternoon. Perhaps they will eat them if they are hungry.

The colored Zupreem ones are the pellets that i have! And i mix them in but he still doesnt seem to eat them he just picks around to the seeds.
