 Finch health problem

I have 2 society finches, and one of them has a reddish growth on his back just above where his tail feathers start, and he keeps pulling at it and now there’s blood on his feathers around the area. Does anyone know what the growth could be? or what could be causing it?

I have no idea what the growth could be but since there is blood involved then I would take him to the vet because finches have only around 14 drops of blood in them.

Well, he died before I could take him to a vet. He was really old though, like 8 years old. Thanks for your help, though.
