Passover ruby update
Her main priorities are food. i try to get her interested in new things like toys but its all about the food with her. She has been chatting a ton. She really is part of the family now. everyone gives her bits of fruit and talks to her. and she is MUCH less shy. For quite some time she was very defensive and you couldn’t touch her. Now she hops out to the ledge on her cage to be kissed and pet. If any of you remember the confusion of when we got her, i just decided to let it all go. Whether she is 2 years or 20 years old, we love her and wouldn’t trade her for the world. If scammers can live with themselves, then so be it. Anyways we were in the kitchen this morning eating matzos, and decided to share. also she saw a tomato in whole form for the first time. Kitchen is a bit dark for good pics, sorry. enjoy! The main course!

i thought you were going to get a bigger cage? the one you have now would work for a cockateil, but deff not a electus. also, tomatoes tend to be a bit acidic, so watch how much she eats. otherwise, looks good!  |

And i havent found a cage big enough yet. All that turns up on craigslist is small crappy cages. And big ones that cost way too much. |

and as for the cage, thats part of owning an exotic bird. they cost a lot. but she does need a larger cage. theres no way she can be happy and exercise in that small of a cage. |

just keep looking for the bigger cage hopefully it will come up soon also try looking places an hour or so away i drove about an hour-1 1/2 hours to get my cage it was still pricey but i got it half the original price it was a $400 cage for $200 yay anyway even is you can save $10-20 a week that will add up for cage expense for now just make sure she gets alot of out of cage time also be careful of tomatoes especially the leaves that are known to be toxic so i wouldnt let her chew on them anymore anyway she looks great |
