Just had my Lutino yellow Budgie Sonny out i got Sinny yesterday after noon and was in quite a bad condition i have just had Sonny out for a little flight around my living room to which never went so well Sonnys flight feathers have been clipped off and caused her to smash into the 400L fish tank and slide across the wooden flooring thankfully was no harm done Sonny is quite calm doesnt fuss when i picked her up quite happily sat in my hand then had a peck at my wrists quite sore biting my pulse and veins cheeky bird But also noticed when trying to fly the tail feathers werent spreading and when they did it wasnt by much i also noticed that the longest tail feather is completly bald from the base/root until 2cm from the tip were the feathers start i never noticed this due to yesterday and most of this afternoon letting her get accustomed to her new home and me and my partner moving around, the tv, whistling to her and other daily things that happen in the living room I realize a bald tail feather isnt good but how bad is it actually? Am most likely going to take her to the vet about it Also is it still good to let her flap around the living room evan though her flight feathers are out? As i dont like the concept of her being cooped up all day in a cage like birds are supposed to fly freely And noticed this morning she doesnt have a ring on her leg you know that metal hoop that has the birds batch number on is it important? Can i get ome put on at my vet? Also i never noticed her tail feather as not taking her out until 10mins ago as you cannot notice it when she is sitting on her perches in the cage i just noticed it when giving her a close up health check
