 Society and zebra finches housed together?

I have 1 female society finch in a small cage (the cage can hold a maximum of 2 birds), I’m not trying to breed them, I just wanted a zebra finch. Can they be housed together? Thanks,

how small is small?

even one finch should not be kept in a small cage they need lots of room

you have to be careful with zebras b/c they can be a bit aggressive but i think as long as you got another female they should be fine

It’s the smallest they had in the petstore, but it’s big enough that it can house 2 finches, or 1 budgie or other small birds. So I’ll get a female zebra finch. Thanks for your help!

i put a budgie with my zebra finch and they get along just fine they snuggle together too =)

i would not put a budgie in with a finch in a regular cage

it can work but some budgies can be very aggressive

You should never house hookbills (budgies, cockatiels, ect) together with finches, because many finches have been hurt or killed. Anyway, the petstore didn’t have zebra finches so I got another society.
