Omg my chicken! my chicken got attacked or shot or something today she has a big hole in her back and a small one on her leg. and she can’t use that leg. i honestly think someone shot her because is a dog or something got her she would have lost a bunch of feathers. and she didn’t loose any feathhers untill we found her and started checked her over. we have her in the house now in a box. is there anyway we can help her?? i’m not sure if she is going to make it. and she is my little baby. she just started laying to. we found her nest today and pulled about 8 eggs out from under her. please any help on how to fix it up for now or what to put on it? and do you think she will make it?? there is no vital organs or anything hurt. just the skin. my neighbor has been getting mad because she is eating her tomatos. so i think she shot her with her pellet gun = ( do you guys think a pellet gun could rip the skin? because they have such a thin layer of skin

Omg my chicken! In my opinion the pellet gun i use to keep racoons away from my flock could break skin. but no offense or anything if you have a problem with your neibors you should keep yor chickens in a run. I mean if you knew this was a problem and you knew they would use a pellet gun then it is inderectly your fault

Omg my chicken! we didn’t know they would use a pellet gun. and we only have one chicken. we were told by the other neighbors after it happened that they wanted to use a pellet gun because she was pecking on their tomatos. but the neighbor thinks a dog got it but we think she shot it. and my neighbor is my grandma’s sister so i wouldn’t think she would’ve doen anything like tihs anyway.

Omg my chicken! Just a couple questions:
Why do you only have one chicken?
I have observed in my flocks that when chickens are in groups they have a larger tendency to stay around there roost.
can you post a picture of the wounds?
sorry for snapping, i use to have neighbors you had a single show rooster that they would just let walk around with no barriers and it terrorized the neighborhood(chasing kids, tearing up gardens ext)

Omg my chicken! well we originally had three but two died unfortuantly. but we let her in the house all the time. she is a major pet and loves people. she is a total sweetheart. and the kids carry her arround all the time. and we live in a trailer park so our houses are close together. i can try posting pictures but it’s healing up pretty good and she still has all her feathers so it’s hard to see. but her roost is our front porch and that is where she stays most of the time except for when she goes and pecks around for food.
