 CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!! DUCKLINGS!!!

Today we had our Muscovy ducklings hatch! They are so adorable, they are all yellow and black (like they’re supposed to be). :D



There’s a pic. We are so thrilled to finally see newly hatched ducklings. :)

Haha, exactly! The ’dream duckling’, right? ;) We get out a little cookie pan everyday and let them swim around in it. :) They LOVE it. They’ll get in and out so fast and the paddle to the other other side and jump out.

There are supposed to be 2 more coming....soon...

The pen that the ducklings are in right now is just has a tin roof, a heat lamp, a divider (to keep our mean drake off the ducklings), and a ply-wood side. :) It was really easy, and we didn’t have to buy anything. After they’re big enough to NOT be killed by the drake, they’ll free range, which is how all our animals eat. :) We live on 5 acres.

The drake loves to borrow into grass and hunt for worms, he’s also lonely though, all his mates are with the babies..:(

Yeah, he’s better enjoy his ’loneliness’ now while he’s got it or he’ll regret it! Lol. We actually might be getting a couple more Muscovy hens, or another drake. Don’t know yet...

i got kenshin who is my timneth grey he is a big baby
victor my brown throat conure with a huge ego

my two bullies
mischief my blue mutation pacific parrolet
and trouble who is a budgie

martie , who is my 7 pound 4 ft green iguana, she is so sweet and gentle
pluto who is a male reduce patteren ball python and syriss who is a female ball python
ameretsu who is a sand fire bearded dragon
3 black and white rats (one is prego)

thats about it...at the moment lol

i want ducks again though lol

It sounds like you do have quite a lot of children! :)

We have 9 goats,

Boys:
Cosmo - our buck - he is a big sweetie, he’s not at all mean, just loves to be brushed and he looks like he’s gonna burst from eating! He drags all the goats out of the barn and starts eating in the RAIN!
Coal - wether - he loves to be scratched and cuddled - Dusty’s brother
Dusty - Coal’s brother - doesn’t like to cuddle much

Girls:
Gingham - Paisley’s sister - we milk Gingham - she likes to be scratched hard, but not gentle - just got pregnant
Paisley - Gingham’s sister - LOVES ATTENTION, the most cuddly goat we have, she’s pleasantly plump and she just got pregnant
Pegs - Piper’s mother - we milk Pegs - loves attention too - pregnant
Piper - Peg’s daughter - pregnant - very stocky, sturdy
Buttercup - Daisy’s sister - pregnant - loves to be scratched
Daisy - Buttercup’s sister - pregnant - explores everything, not scared of anything (which can be very frustrating!)

Daisy and Buttercup’s mom was very sick with lungworm or something, so we had to put her down, which means Buttercup and Daisy are very close, if one of them is in pasture, and one in the barn. You can expect a loud yell from one of them. :) Lol.

Then we have the ducks, as you know. :) Yesterday, we let them out for the first time, and it was so fun!! I’ll try to post pics later...my photo list isn’t working now...

That, is Cosmo! (our buck) :D He’s SUCH a sweetie-pie. :D

Our herd is like all different shades of brown, so it’s really a "good-looking" herd. :D
