Untame budgie training a bird takes time and patience. you have to talk to it in a calm and gentle voice. when it bites dont show any expression, keep trying to get it on your finger. when it get over being scared of your finger it will start to be a fun pet. give it some time and it’ll get around.

Untame budgie How old is your budgie? They often don’t take too well to being tamed after a certain age. Have you made any previous attempts at training the bird?

Untame budgie i had my for about one month now and i am still trying different methods of trying to tame it. everyday it becomes less scared of me, like i said before it takes time to tame a bird. i dont know old my is but if the facts are true about them if their black stripes on their head reaches their cere than i think mine is pretty young cause mine male has his stripes to its cere and its eyes are completely black. how old is yours and is it getting more tamed?

Untame budgie If it bites you while your hand is inside the cage. Just sit outside the cage and tlak to it (without trying to put your hand in the cage) do this throughout the day for about a week. The try putting your hand in. Just let it stay there untill the bird settles down and soon it’ll think of your hand as an "ok" perch. Soon you can put your hand by it and it may step up. But first you need to let it get confidence of you and be asure of itself that you are not a threat to it. So good luck. This has helped with my budgies and parrots that were untamed. Good luck!

Untame budgie Oh and with budgies sometimes you must let them bite you so they wont will think biting will not hurt you.. it may staink a bit.. but atleast you dont have a parrot with this problem then you may have to use gloves...
