EYESPY
This in a inquary for Eyespy, I was wondering if you might know the temperature cycle and at what month to start the temperature change for breeding red tailed boas. I have read alot of breeders description on this but I just dont seem to understand what they mean i was wondering if you might know a simpler way of describing it. FOR EXAMPLE - month temp to temp and next month temp to temp so on and so forth a responce would be very much appreciated. thank you

EYESPY I’m afraid that’s not something I can help you with. Keeping boids is illegal in my county so I’ve only worked with vets on cases that need surgery, I’ve never kept them. Plus the terms of my wildlife rehabber’s license forbid me from assisting in the breeding of animals that are frequent flyers in the rescue program and unfortunately boas end up in rescue at a very high rate. So I am not permitted to advise folks on how to breed boids, or monitors, or green iguanas. Silly rule, but I’m not brave enough to break it.

EYESPY stop feeding your boa about a month before you start to lower the temp make shore that they use the bath room first then in nov to dec lower the temp at night to about 72f and then in the day raise it back up to about 85f what i do is keep all the lights off in the cage so the only light coming in the cage is coming thru the window of the house..after about a month of cooling you can put your snakes togeather good luck...
