Heating question I just purchased a 4’ square plexi-glass enclosure for my Boa Zith. The problem I’am having is trying to figure out how to heat it. I can’t stick a UTH on it because all the ones I know of can’t be used on plexi-glass. Is there another type of heating pad I can use? I can hang a lighting fixture inside of the enclosure if I wrap it in hardware cloth to prevent accidental contact, I’am more worried about belly heat though. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks, Podunk

Heating question A Friend of mine uses a regular heating pad for humans on med heat. But I would suggest you make a little box for the out side of the enclosure to mount the light to. about 12 inches to 18 inches from the top of the enclosure. your choice.

Heating question heat tape. do not stick it to the bottom just tape the edges so you have a thin layer of air in the middle...if it melted your plexy glass then it is way to hot and need a dimmer if it was glass anyway. This is the best way to go since it will not conduct as much heat as adhessive UTH’s since it is not directly on the glass. This will allow if to warm up through the tank and not just make glass extremely hot. Best way to heat you tank and floor in my opinion.
