 Breeding?

I know all about boas, but I haven’t REALLY tried to understand breeding morphs and what with what makes a who and ect.

If I bred a BCI with a albino RTB would those produce 50%HET for albinos? I haven’t quite gotten the concepts of all these yet. Thank you.

100% hets.

But take RTB out of the equation. It is a heavily misused name/ acronym for boas, to most it is a Boa Constrictor(most often BCI), but all boa people know it is more accuratly used to describe BCC as they are True Red Tail boas.

 Breeding?

yes, the offspring would all be normal in appearance but they would carry the albino gene.

check out NERD’s care sheets and articles, scroll down and there are some articles on genetics.

 Breeding?

Yeah I know the difference between BCI and BCC. I just wanted to see how it worked.

Thanks

This is the way the thread started, and then comes a little advice, and this is the way the thread ended.

Please take the time to do some reading, it takes years to know only a little about this great hobby.
(By the way, if you breed a BCC with an albino RTB, you still would have 100% hets)

Hope this doesn’t start another compelling thread like all the others, won’t be able to sleep.

 Breeding?

lol I know a RTB is a BCC. Or a true rtb is anyways. I just put it like that for the people who don’t know the difference. There’s more people on here who don’t know the difference that do know it. either way it doesn’t truly change the question I asked. I’m not quite sure why I would say a BCC instead of a BCI. I thought a true red tail might make a better looking albino, but I’m not sure if it makes a difference. I’ve been keeping snakes for many years but I’ve never gotten into morphs more than keeping a tiger retic, or a albino king snake. I had a friend who wanted to start breeding and was expecting albinos baby’s out of a normal and a albino breeding, but I thought it only produced HET for albinos.

So thank for clearing it up and helping.
No hard feeling or no "being able to sleep tonight", because I hate those conversations also.
