New here, Pics of my little BCI

Hey everyone!! I guess I just posted here yet! Anyhow here are some pics of my bci named "Noodle" . Not quite sure on the sex , but I guess its because I do not intend to breed him/her . I have had Noodle for 4 and a half months now . He was just a baby when I got him, and now about two feet . Being much more relaxed than my retic , my bloods, or my ornate monitor , noodle really feels like the "pet" of my growing group!!

Well here are some pictures , Enjoy!

And this one I like to call "peeking" , he always does this whenever I come in the room or at any new noise, but most defiantly at feeding time!!! Lol!

Hope you enjoyed!!!!

Thanks for looking! Cheers , Rich!

Nice boa!

One thing I noticed is that he has some retained shed on his neck. That is a sign of inadequate humidity. A hydrometer is a nessesity especially when your cage does not hold humidity well. You want to get a digital one, as the analog dial types are highly inaccurate (basically pointless). You can find them at walmart where ever their outdoor thermometers are at. Acurite makes a model that is dual zone thermometer and hydrometer combo, about $12.

Florida boy I guess you never had some retained shed , yes I do have a digital hydrometer! ,and yes I am having a problem with humidity . He is in a fish tank with a 70 % covered top right now ! I am in the process of building better enclosures , Sorry . Check out my other threads , in blood pythons , and monitors for examples of my other enclosers!!! Any complements?? Thank you for the info and I am working on it!!!

Cheers , Rich!

I’m cool with hostility. Sorry if you were offended but I was very nice and didn’t even hint that you don’t know what you are doing. And NO I never have stuck on shed. I have dealt with one stuck eye cap, the first month I got my first boa(due to reptile store humidity issue). Not once since then. You have a very nice collection. And I did say nice boa in my opening line.

Thanks Bazzer, and yes it is all hard work, but well worth it!

Florida boy , I apologize again , I think I was just more upset that I let the humidity get to a problematic point where a stuck shed happened . I now have kicked that problem. Still not in permanent enclosure , still way to small for that, but in a different aquarium , set up , about 95% sealed with a solid top and deeper substrate. Holds 55% to 65% humidity, without misting every day. And yes I did notice the compliment , but unfortunately , not until after I posted!

Thanks again , Cheers , Rich
