 My baby boa (pic heavy)

Just thought I would share some pics of my Columbian red tail, Kaa. I got him at a reptile expo about 3 weeks ago. He’s about 1.5feet long right now. He’s already shed once, and it was almost pefect! a couple little pieces came off seperate. He also has a lot of pink in his sides, does this make him some kind of pastel? Not really sure on all the boa mophs. You can’t see the pink real well in the pics but its all along his sides. Thanks for looking! Any comments welcome!

I love the circles he has, unfortunately they don’t go all the way down his back, just halfway.

His gorgeous tail.

Just hanging out.

Running away from the camera.

Thanks for looking!

thanks! i only payed $55 for him. The ones I saw at the show I went to ranged from 50-75 for a columbian. all looked really healthy.

Looks good. From what I can see I would say he is not a pastel, but has alot of pastel influence. Remember pastel is not a genetic morph technically, it is a polygenetic normal with highly reduced specks and highly reduced melanin.

He looks to be in his dark phase or at least more of a dark phase then light phase, so it is hard to see how clean and colorful it is, his saddels look a bit too dark and his medalions have too much black pigment to really be concidered a pastel. I do think that as he gets older he will have awesome bright colors, if you wanted to slap a more descriptive title i would say a high color normal BCI.
