B.C. Longicauda
Female:
Male:
My 08 Anery female from Micah Denton:
This is an 07 male I purchased from Neil Golli, his name is Moose (as most of you know!) and he just takes the cake for being a great example of a Longicauda. I don’t know his background but he is just a great looking snake.
And last but certainly not least, is my 08 female also from Neil. She’s pretty picky, actually the only picky one out of my entire collection. But she is pretty!

When their head is back and coiled up in that S shape, they are defensive. Its a striking position. When you first open up an enclosure, they dont know if its food commin, or water being cleaned, or some big giant comming to eat them ( instinct makes them be wary). When their necks are outstreatched, they are usually relaxed and investigating their environment. When my snakes are in a defensive position, I will either touch them slowly and gently, or if they seem really defensive, I will put a facecloth or hand towel over their head and then gently pet them before taking them out. Its not long before they relax, soaking up body heat from either myself or my hubby, and start exploring around. |
