Baby Boa I’ve just got a new baby boa, I’m not sure what age exactly (The guy i got it from didnt know) but i know she’s less than a year. I know how big they grow, and i’ve been told she’s a girl, so im prepared for a nice big boa, but i was wondering how quickly can i expect her to grow? My family in the house aren’t very fond of her, so i’d like to get them used to her, and vice versa, before she gets big, and they’re afraid.
I’ll get some pictures up of her soon, she really is a beauty :)
thanks x

Baby Boa
it really depends on the type of boa because S/A boas get alot bigger than C/A boas some pictures of the boa boa would be really help full because C/A boas average about six ft where S/A boas get to be around 10 to 12 ft and 14 on rare occasions. it also depends on how often you feed them for a baby you should feed them every 5 to 7 days and end every 7 to ten days 10 days if im correct. some boas can grow up tp six feet in the first 2 years or they might not even get over 4 ft it all depends mostly on the species. i hope this helps in some way and good luck with ur boa im sure its in good hands

Baby Boa I had a boa get 4’ in a year. Its a suraname. I just got a high end morph that I got 3 days after he was born probally a month ago and hes gone up 2 times on feeder sizes and is a few inches longer. It depends on how you feed. I feed mine 2 mice a week right now.

Baby Boa Mine were a year old and 3 feet long when I got them. Now a year later they are 5’. I feed every 7-10 days now that they are on Extra Large/Jumbo rats. The first year they grow slowly. The second year they grow really fast!
Luckily, they are very cute and most are very docile if they are handled a few times a week.

Baby Boa So long as you feed her once a week, a prey item big around as her widest part, she will grow. No need to feed extra really. An overweight boa is as bad as an underweight one. If shes really thin, you can feed ever 5 days for a few weeks- but just having her on regularly scheduled meals should help her get to where she needs to be.
Im sure you will do a great job with her.
