 I dont know what to do?? Please help

My 7 year old sons red tail boa escaped from his cage, we are not sure if he got outside or not. But what I am sure of is that I am terrified about him being out, hes is not full grown yet I would say hes probably 3feet maybe a little bigger, anyhow I have a nine month old baby will he harm him?I am scared this snake might strike at us when it gets hungry, where should I be looking and what if we dont find him what do I do I am scared of this snake my son loves reptiles and we got it for him 2 christmases ago. I am totally unaware of what to do. Do I call in professional? I hope someone can help.... Thanks

yahooo we found him, he got in a crack between the stairs and the wall in our sunroom I waited until 1:00 am and began searching throughout the house and outside, when I went into the sunroom I turned all the lights out and waited a few minutes then looked everywhere, then I seen the crack and shined the light between it and the stairs and there he was he appeared to be stuck. So we took the second stair apart and tada there he was. Thank god my son is so happy and so am I..... I really learnt alot through this experience.
