8 foot female 5 foot male

kk guys i want to break my rtbs and right now i have an 8 foot female, and a 3 foot male

of course i am going to wait until the male is about 5 feet long, but is that to big of a diferene?

by then the female could be 8.5 feet when the male is 5 foot, would she be to big for him?

Nope not too big a difference. If the male is over 2 years old he is old and large enough to breed now.

For breeding, smaller males can do some great things, some of them sure are determined, if your male is only 3 ft he is definately going to do some more growing, so he should be a bit bigger by the time you get around to breeding them, depending when that is going to be of course.

The smallest for colombian BCI males would be 18 months and 3 feet. But it is better for them to be 2 years old or older . Younger males may still not be mature enough at 18 months so , from what I’ve heard from the bigger breeders is, they have a higher chance of not doing the job, or having complete slug litters or just a higher slug rate, I think its a matter of potency.

Females should be at the very least 2.5 years old and six feet with good girth(around 10 to 12 lbs), but as above it is better for them to be at least 3 years old.

But like Amelia said above by the fall/winter he should have added some size to him.(thats breeding season)
