 Help

my nieghber called me over. he has 11 baby rtb in his tank. when can he move them. feed them any help would be appreciated.
i have experience with bearded dragons but nothing with snakes.

it looks to be about 40 babies.when can they be moved.
most look like the parents standard redtail. three are white with brown pattern.

You should remove the female snake from the enclosure.Put her in a tub of water to clean her up,then place her in a separate enclosure.Leave the babies in the main enclosure until the amniotic sac pulls away from the umbilical cord(about 2-3 days).Don’t pull the cord off!Once the snakes are free of the sac you can move them to a different enclosure.Keep the humidity high and the temp around 87-90 degrees.They should shed in about 10 days.the you can feed them.

there is a total of 18 babies. (5 eggs) eggs were a dark brown color is that normal.they are already
free from sac and cord. dont know when she laid them. last time he checked on her was x-mas. then again yesterday.

The brown eggs where just unfertilized eggs .Yes this is normal.Sometimes it’s caused by improper heating temps.Good luck with the new litter.

thanks again. like i said there not mine. my big thing is beardies. im not really a snake person but i need to find out as much as i can. my nieghbor didnt even know she was pregnent. and yes the temps were low.
