 A two part question.

Hello, i kept snakes throughout my entire adolescent life, eventually selling all of them when i went off to college. I now find myself half way through a college degree with the desire to further complicate my life.

I’m going to have a go at breeding boa constrictors. I have been reading about snake genetics for a few days now and I have a relatively good grasp on it. (And it’s a good thing, since im studying Biological Chemistry lol)

My first question is about decimals used when describing a snake.
Here are some examples that I pulled from kingsnake.

Screamer Pastel Hypos 2.2 hand picked beauties

Early ’07 2.1 66% Possible DH Sharp Snow (Het Sharp Albino, Het Anery)

1.1 CBB Nicaraguan Boas (New Price)

1.0 2004 Adult Male Unique Nicaraguan

0.1 2006 Suriname Boa

What do these specify about the snake?

Aside from that, i have found some really good websites about snake genetics. However I have had trouble finding god detailed guides on breeding Boa constrictors.

Can anyone recommend a website, or some good books that i will be needing to pursue this?

 A two part question.

1.1.1 would be one male, on female, and one unsexed or baby.
so
1.0= one male
0.1= one female
0.0.1= one baby/unsexed
hope that helps
