 Red tail boas

im in the middle of breeding red tail boas. last night it was obvious the male was trying to breed but the female kept trying to get away. i couldnt watch them anymore because i had class, what are the odds that they actually locked? should i even seperate them form my other snakes or should i leave them alone. and i have another boy about 4ft and he had some sticky fluid coming out from around his cloaca. could that be sperm, he was near my other much smaller female and he got it all over her. should i even disturb the boas while trying to lock....

your boas should only be introduced to another boa for breeding. Boas should not be housed comunally. Only seperate housing.

Firstly, snakes aren’t social animals.
Secondly, cannibalism.
Thirdly, stress due to competiton/dominace....

Hope this helps your question.

right now he is in a huge 6.5 ft cage....so far he has eaten both live and frozen large rats. but right now he slowed down due to the weather. he has always been tame, but once snapped at me because of the smell of rat in my hand and plus he didnt eat for about 2 months. and as for shipping, i have to look further into it because i have never done it before.
